Saracens Seconds took on previously unbeaten Chosen Hill and came home worthy winners. Early exchanges were ferocious with neither side giving way. But it was the Saracens who made the first score following a fine burst from flanker Reid, winger Crombie burst over, converted by young Brad Harris. Chosen hit back with former Gloucester legend Martin Roberts and ex Cinderforf lock Ninny Cuthbert to the fore.
They were rewarded with 2 unconverted tries. A penalty by Harris tied the game up. The game remained in the balance until just before half time when veteran hooker Jim Connelly skipped over again this was converted. Half time 17-10. The second just saw the Saracens up the pace and begin to play some quality rugby. A kick a chase try by Lloyd was quickly followed by a opportunist try from Tom Piff. This however was just the starter to the main course as the s Saracens scored the best try if the game. A burst down the blind by Mark Harris and a overhead offload to Connelly who shipped the ball on with quick hands to replacement hooker Sam to scamper home. A final barnstorming try from Crombie with Harris adding the extras saw the Sarries home. Man of the match Lachlan Sharpe, strong in the tight, good close in defence and several powerful hit ups.
