Cheltenham Saracens II 61 vs 0 Glos old boys II

After a good warm up and team talk by daz francis and jc,sarries got into their stride very quickly and started to rack up the points.

The first half saw a constant stream of possession from the rampant sarries forwards for the back line, who chose lines of running and accuracy of passing with devasting aplomb, cutting the old boys defence to shreds time after time!.
This continued for the whole of the first half with some superb offloads from backs and forwards alike, however captain francis asked for a bit more structure and pattern from his players who duly obliged and produced some of the best play of the season so far, resulting in points.

The second half could not have been more different from a sarries perspective, loose play from all players resulted in old boys gaining some momentum and territory and only a forward pass prevented an old boys score.
This was a fractured second half, due to the refs extreme genorousity to old boys indiscretions and sarries “switching off”.The final whistle could not have come sooner as the home side were getting more and more perplexed by decisions made by the ref.
All in all another sound performance by a sarries side(scoring 9 tries and 8 conversions) who are getting better and better with each game, praise must be given to the back line of daz, latch, pross, kiwi, crombs, lloyd and dan who were outstanding in terms of passing and support play.

In the forwards the hard work of everyone in securing possesion through set piece and general support play is worthy of praise, however special mention to big wills who was a dominant force and for playing loosehead!,sharpy for playing through what could have been a nasty knee injury and gareth”delilah”rogers on making a significant contribution on his return from a bout of “glass ribs”

Writers man of the match is a diffucult choice with everyone playing so well!(dan with another brace, wills for his dominance, latchy for setting off the backline and his conversions) however in my view there is only one candidate, for his constant line breaks, good defence, support play and bagging a hat-trick of tries the award goes to paul(kiwi) grayson.
Onwards and Upwards sarries!
