Cheltenham Saracens 36 v 0 Cheltenham Civil Service

The Sarries second string maintained there unbeaten league season with a scruffy win over their neighbours.

Both sides struggled to play anything that resembled rugby early on but eventually the Sarries got into their stride and a flowing move saw Connor finish off in fine style. 10 minutes later it was the other winger Paul Crombie with a typical robust run scoring after an excellent blind side snipe by skipper Daz Francis. The first half scoring was completed when veteran Centre Martin Prosser scooted over. Buster finally added the extras and it was 17-0 at half time.

The second half was a strange affair with the referee taking a very fussy approach and Service players suffering injury after injury. This didn’t help either side to be fair but eventually Winger Lloyd Arkle beat several players to score. The stop start game continued but eventually some rugby broke out and Prosser scored his second. The best try came last as Arkle again left a trail of tacklers in his wake to score his second.
