Cheltenham Saracens 33 v 3 Ashley Down Old Boys

This weeks visitors to KGV were Ashley Down Old boys who are normally a very tricky side to beat, but from the very first minute of the game the Sarries had other ideas with the kick off being knocked on and a solid scrum saw a powerful run from center Hanger to crash over the line for a perfect start with Jonny Carter converting the Sarries were 7 – 0 up, the game developed into a pretty one sided affair with the Sarries playing all the rugby and if it were not by some tough tackling by the visitors then more tries in the first half would of came for sure but as it was the only other points in the half came from the boot of the rejuvenated Carter.
Half Time 16 – 3

The second half was much the same as the first with the Sarries attacking the vistors at every opportunity, eventually the constant pressure was beginning to show and a tired Ashley Down defense started to leave some space which captain Nick Hanby found with easy to dart over in the corner untouched, this was the start of the Sarries showing why they are pushing for promotion, with Josh Pettiefer looking dangerous every time he had the ball and some great work by an ever improving pack all that was left was for try machine Luke Stoneman to score his usual brace of tries.
Final Score 33 – 3
